Always special and quaint place to meet special people who love good food. Love the way it smells when you enter, like mom or grandma's kitchen in the morning (bacon and eggs). Staff are all professional and make you feel at home.

I live in Long Beach and we haven't had a Russell's in Long Beach or Lakewood for a long time The one on Fair Oaks is different than the ones I used to go to in Long Beach. I have to say our breakfast was delicious. I Mean it was really great. We got there early like 7:00 am and got a table immediately. When we left, there was quite a few people waiting for a table. One complaint. Parking. They validate but if you're a minute over 90 minutes it cost 11 dollars to get your car out no exceptions. I walked back in to the restaurant and the man at the host station was unwilling or unable to help whatsoever. Would've been a five star review. If I had written this review the day we were there,'it would've been one star. It was frustrating snd the man attitude didn't help.

There's good reason that this place is been here so long is so popular. They give you a great breakfast and they do it with excellent service and very good food quality. I've never been disappointed in any of my visits here. It's a small place so I don't think it would be good for a big party, but for dining alone it is excellent.

Breakfast was so good! Ordered an omelette but added bacon for more protein! Also got to try some French toast and I really do recommend getting it! It was fluffy and tastes delicious. It was very filling! And service was really good because they would always keep coming to refill our coffees and make sure everything was good. This place is a small cute little breakfast/brunch spot! I'd definitely be back to try other foods and for the French toast of course!

This is one of my staples for breakfast. Aside from the long wait times that you might get met with. Russell's is an amazing breakfast spot. My parents enjoy the corn beef hash and the chicken steak breakfast. It comes out good each time we come. My favorite thing about this restaurant is the consistency in flavor and service. The waiters are always making sure drinks are topped and food is good. One of the things you must try are the mimosas and the Belgian waffle. It really enhances the meal. The Belgian waffle is what they are known for. It fluffy yet light and packed with so much flavor. They also have lunch which is really good. My sister always gets the fettuccine Alfredo which is very well made. You can definitely find anything there for breakfast or lunch. Definitely will stay as my top 10 breakfast in LA.

My wife and I stopped by and let me just say: It's the best Belgian waffle I've ever had. If anyone knows their secret please let me know! We also appreciated their efforts to find seating for the line as quick as possible. Can't wait to come back. But seriously, that waffle recipe...

I would say Russell's is my favorite diner and breakfast option in Pasadena. I like it over Marston's, Shakers, and a few of the others. It's very large and busy on the inside and every time I have visited there has been a long wait. This most recent visit for a Saturday brunch we were told it would be 45 minutes, but we only waited about 20 minutes. Inside is large with many different seating options so the lines tend to move fast due to the large amount of tables. They have a giant menu! It is multiple pages and honestly has a ton of options which I truly love. Kind of reminded me of Cheesecake Factory in that regard. Our server David was extremely polite, very attentive, and he did a great job. They don't have a dedicated parking lot, but there is a parking structure on the same block or you can opt for street parking. The food quality, portion size, and price are very fair here and it's probably one of the reasons that it's my favorite breakfast spot in Pasadena. Everything we ordered was made perfectly and we didn't have a single issue during the entire meal. We started off with a homemade Cinnamon Roll, which was a great and sweet start to the meal. It wasn't very large, so it would be easy to finish even for one person. From my entrée I chose the Croque Madame because that's one of my favorite dishes to order at any French bistro and I was pleasantly surprised with this version as well. I honestly ate the entire thing and enjoyed every bite. I would recommend to anyone looking for a great breakfast or lunch option in Pasadena and I plan to be back again in the near future.

Once in a great while, you stumble in a place that really makes an impact. A five star is a tough one to come by specially a review by me. Russell's is one of those gems that well deserves it. I ordered the dreaded corned beef hash that everyone else manages to make taste like trash... In all honesty, my expectations were low when I ordered. The server, Dennis ensured me that it was not from a can and he did recommend it. Dennis, you were right. The hash browns crispy, corned beef AMAZING I topped it with a sunny side and the texture and flavour was just delicious. My wife who is an executive chef, got the ABC omelet with American cheese and was very happy with it. I tasted and agreed. Staff and management get an A+ also. We had missed our wait and they should have been closed but made an exemption which was not gone unnoticed. Thank you all. Definitely a "will go there again place"
